Of life and death - Of Supreme Importance

Of Supreme Importance... is mostly about life and death.

Regardless of how we spend our lives, we all just die in the end?
But because we all die in the end, how we spend our lives is important?

So, what is of supreme importance?

To qualify, my comments are coloured by my faith. But its an intrinsic part of me, so here goes.

Yes, we all die in the end. And what appears on our tombstone is he/she lived from XXXX - XXXX, but the dash in between is of supreme importance. How you live epitomises who you are and the difference or not you make to the lives of those whose paths cross yours. If we were just animals, this would not be an issue, but we're not.

You know, i was thinking that it's a optimistic/pessimist thing.

Like, the +ve = live life well.
The -ve= doesn't matter how one lives he'll just die.

With my primitive pseudo-psycho-analysis, you're a +ve. which is a good thing, according to me. congrats!

I think...the narrator of the piece is a bipolar, weighing on the -ve side cos it ends on the -ve.

Then again, dian fossey's death is machiam famous, which counts for some +ve right?

There shouldn't be consensus on these things anyway. Dichotomy concludes with irony. hurray.
Anyway, hello! hello! Thanks for sharing, man. :)

p.s. Just occurred to me that machiam dian fossey machiam like won't agree with your animal statement. But she's, erm, dead. So, well... it's like rain on your wedding day...

This is a damn long comment. :s
